Yenching University Library bookplate
Yenching University（1919——1952）was an American institution which aimed at educating Chinese in modern western education. Stuart, John Leighton was selected as the first president of Yenching University。 The Yenching University Library bookplate , already discovered that has eight varieties.

Yenching University was an American institution which aimed at educating Chinese in modern western education. The College of Chinese Studies was an American institution which aimed at educating Westerners in Chinese language and civilization. Yenching University had produced some of the most outstanding diplomats, scholars, journalists, and professors. Similarly, the College of Chinese Studies had produced some of the most prominent sinologists, diplomats, military generals, and Chinese experts apart from its training thousands of Americans and other Westerners in Chinese language and culture. Their graduates had worked in prestigious universities, diplomacy, businesses, military, and cultural organizations, and museums. The collaboration of the two institutions was so close at one time that the College of Chinese Studies was renamed: The Yenching School of Chinese Studies.

Stuart, John Leighton（1876-1962）, Presbyterian missionary and educator in China. Born in Hangchow (Hangzhou), China, the son of Presbyterian missionaries, Stuart attended schools in America from age 11, was ordained in the Presbyterian ministry, and in 1904 traveled with his wife to China, where he taught New Testament studies at Nanking Theological Seminary from 1908 to 1919.In 1919 he became the first president of Yenching University, created by the merger of Peking University, North China Union College, and the North Women's College. During his 27 years as president, Yenching became the preeminent private university in China, setting the standard for the other twelve Christian colleges and universities.

In 2007 new bookplate
In 2007, I newly create use for oneself the bookplates, is the diameter is 8 centimeter complete circle, another is the diameter is 8 centimeters 3/4 circle, but also some is the diameter is 6 centimeter complete circle. The version material is the brass, with the print machine stamping, the technique sign note is "X" (copper relief printing stamping). The international bookplate alliance (FISAE) stipulated the bookplate manufacture technique, the metal class relief printing only has the lead relief printing (X4) and the zinc relief printing (X5), but also does not have the copper relief printing.

Bookplate of Imperial Pei-Yang University Library

The imperial Bei-Yang University library bookplate, is in bookplate section which China's university most early uses. The Bei-Yang University is Tian-Jin University's predecessor, originated in 1895, authorized the establishment by China's Emperor Guang Xu, established the Tian-Jin Beiyang western learning school (Institute), this is the Chinese modern times first university. In 1896 the Bei-Yang western learning school officially changed the name as the imperial Bei-Yang University. In 1900, the Eight Power Expeditionary Force invaded Tianjin and Beijing, the Institute encounters the destruction to be compelled to close down, resumed classes until 1903. In January, 1912, the Bei-Yang University changed name as the Beiyang big school, subordinated the Ministry of Education. Before 1912 the imperial Bei-Yang University library always uses this section bookplate.
